Sony now owns Crunchyroll

About six months ago, Sony decided to buy the anime-focused streaming service Crunchyroll for just over a billion dollars to bake it in with Sony's anime venture Funimation.

Now the whole purchase has gone through and the entire ownership of the anime service has ended up entirely with Sony. Sony has said that they want to create a unified anime subscription as soon as possible, but what that means in practice remains to be seen.
